(Ages 18 months-3 years)

The 1^st session will be an introductory workshop to ‘Circle of Security’.

The focus of this workshop includes:

• Supporting a secure attachment relationship between you and your child
• Learning to understand what your child’s behavior actually means
• Understanding your child’s emotional needs
• Learning how responding to your child’s emotional needs improves behaviour.
• Understanding the importance of your connection with your child
• Providing opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth

In the following 4 sessions:  Parents and toddlers will explore their environment through ‘hands on activities’.  Families will also be given a ‘special’ take home activity.  During each session, there will be opportunities for parent/facilitator discussions.  Through interactive play, the parents will develop their observational skills and learn how to respond to their child’s needs, in a developmentally appropriate way that is ‘in tune’ with their toddler’s imaginative brain.*We are requesting that families commit to the full 5 weeks. Registration may begin April 24th by calling (519) 337-7811. Limited childcare available for siblings.
