Book Study (In Progress) – Really Seeing Children, written by Deb Curtis

May 30, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Facilitator: Kim Jackson
This is already in progress. No spaces available. Last two session dates for all registered  and active participants are April 25, May 30.

How Does Learning Happen? asks educators to be attuned to what children know, what they wonder about, and their working theories about the world around them. Educators engage with, observe and listen to children.  In her book, Really Seeing Children (2017), Deb Curtis shares a collection of teaching and learning stories.  Her goal is to inspire     educators in their everyday practice of observation and reflection, and to challenge the reader to take time to marvel at the details you hear about children. If you are ready to really see children, and further explore the meaning of this, please join us for a five  session book study, where we will read, discuss and implement strategies and terms used in this book.
