Michelle Nelson, a facilitator from St. Clair Child & Youth Services, will be offering an introduction workshop to The Circle of Security™. The Circle of Security™ is an evidence-based program that has been formulated based on over sixty years of attachment research. The Circle of Security™ promotes an understanding of children’s behaviour as a reflection of their attachment needs, summarized in a user-friendly graphic. It has been shown to be effective in its use of a shared language to explain and recognize attachment needs, along with its use of practical tools to help adults in responding supportively to these needs. This workshop will offer participants additional strategies to use with the children in their care.
