My Name is Christina Jolliffe, I grew up in Northern Ontario with my sister and two parents. I moved to Southern Ontario for school after high school graduation. I have attended the University of Toronto, Ryerson University and Dalhousie University to complete my post-secondary education. I began working in the field of child protection in January of 2009 in Elgin County where I was a child protection worker specially working in the investigation department. I started my employment with Sarnia Lambton Children’s Aid in November 2015 in the same role. I am currently a protection supervisor in our indigenous department working specially with Aamjiwnaang and Kettle Stoney Point First Nation. I have been working in this department for the past 6 years.
With my role I am also the co-lead on our French Language Service Committee and I am a bilingual worker.
Mel Barnett, CYW (Lambton Grad!)
My Name is Mel Barnett and I grew up in a neighbouring county! I started my career as a Child and Youth Worker graduate from Lambton in Residential Care and treatment with Youth and moved on to work in the School system as a CYW and later as an EA. I came to CAS through the Family Support program; supporting families involved with CAS. I was later placed in a position in Children’s Services, supporting children and youth who are in foster care. I have remained in that position, but I also currently work on our Indigenous Services Department, supporting young people with Indigenous heritage or connections. I have been with the agency almost 9 years at this point.
