Smooth Transitions: Helping Children Thrive Through Change (In-Person)

As a new group of children arrives this September, their transition to care can feel both exciting and overwhelming. For some young children, these transitional moments can be challenging, but with practical strategies for easing transitions, building trust, and fostering inclusive environments that are safe and supportive, they become opportunities for growth, connection, belonging, and well-being.

In this session, we will explore practical techniques to ease transitions, understand the “why” behind behaviours, and build inclusive routines that help every child feel safe and confident.
